USB Stereo Headset

How do you add a headset microphone if you already have a webcam mic on vista.?

I have a vista laptop with a built in webcam and and microphone. I'm trying to add a headset microphone as well. Whenever I go to the microphone setup under the control panel it will only find my webcam mic. My new microphone doesn't even show up in the playback tab in the control panel. I know the mic is working because I've used it on other computers. Please help!

1. I have a laptop (HP Vista) and it has the same thing, however I just plug a new microphone into the little plug that has a microphone sign beside it. (On mine it is at the front of the computer, on the bottom edge, sort of.) Then it just works. Hopefully this helps. :)
