USB Stereo Headset

I have a headset that goes to my phone..will it work on my computer?

I didn't have a computer headset and wanted to make a pc to pc call on messenger....I have a headset to my phone that works....but when I plgged it in my computer, it's not working...could it be my settings or do I need a special type of headset?

1. computer headphones has two jacks.. one for the mic and one for the speakers.. so i guess you can't ues the one from your phone
