What's the difference between stereo headsets and 5.1 headsets? I don't understand what's the difference between them. Does stereo headsets provide surround sound like the 5.1 headsets? Which is better for gaming?

Question about Stereo Gaming Headsets with PS3? I'm a little confused about the functionality of a USB Stereo Headset. I don't know if it matters about the model I'm looking at (Plantronics Audio 655 USB Headset) I really would like to buy a stereo gaming headset for the PS3, and I'm looking at some headsets that are made for PC. My computer won't recognize headsets? (HP Premium Stereo)? I bought two headsets so far and my computer won't recognize either of them. I know it's not the headset because I tested it on sound recorder. The drivers don't show up. So far I bought a Logitech ClearChat - Returned it. Now I bought a HP Premium Stereo Headset - It doesn't show up on the computer. Help please? It's one of those that has 2 plugs to it. 1 for mic & one for sound, Yes I plugged it in correctly. How does a stereo cell phone headset work for talking? I'm thinking of getting a stereo headset for my phone so I can listen to music and watch videos without bothering anyone. It also has a microphone attached so you can answer calls I'm just curious if anyone that has one can tell me how they work when you are on a call. Does the callers voice always have to come out of both earbuds? Phone calls are meant to be mono so I think it would be a bit annoying to have to have both earbuds in at the same time while talking.. and possibly illegal if I am driving. Aviation Headsets--Stereo or mono? I'm buying my first headset and I've decided on David Clarks. I noticed that on the headset I borrow now, there is only sound in one ear. Does this mean it's mono or is it just broken? If mono headsets have sound in one, then can I assume that stereo uses sound on both ears? I find it harder to understand transmissions when its only blaring into one ear. I know this may sound like an intensely dumb question to you more experienced pilots. Bottom line: Stereo or mono, what's the difference?

Can I listen to FM Radio on a stereo Bluetooth headset? Bluetooth technology uses radio frequencies, right? So does that mean that I can't listen to FM Radio using Bluetooth headphones? I have a Nokia 5300 and a Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset. But I can't listen to the radio on the Bluetooth headphones.
